Ahmed is totally wrong to use this description. Quran is not bloody business but creates peace, stability and mercy to the humanity. If somebody uses the Quran wrongly, one doesnot have to blame the Quran but blame the user. Quran is clean from any comdemnation and anyone who tries will get bad consequences both in the world life and hereafter.
Prof. Ahmed should return to Allah (Tawba) and ask forgiveness to the Merciful Allah.
I believe this guy wants to tell us how the Quran can be misused. And if a nation on this earth are misunsing the Quran is the somali people. Every body want to judge and rule -using the Quran.
Thats is what his point is. Today Somalis consider them selves the most religious people on earth, how ever if you see what is going on on Somalia and between the somalis, it is shocking and disgracing. Comment: I think the professor is trying to make a point and those who are critizizing him miss undrestood the way he used the word ”bloody” I beleive that he didn’t mean the Quran it self is bloods but he wants to explain some thing. folks remember there are people out there killing innocent women and children in the name of god while reading the Quran to gain politicle and financial future.

I think is very irresponsible of the professor specially as an intellect and a Muslim man it’s never appropriate to criticise the holy Quran, the blame is always with Somali people and how we understand the Quran. As Somalis we are a prime example of how we blindly follow misguided moron’s so called “leaders†whether they call themselves religious leaders or clan. It seems to me every group have their turn to devour the Somali people and now it’s the turn of so called “Wadado†to finish the job.

I agree with what most people have written, and disagree with te comments of the professor. As someone stated above, ..yes, people are misunderstanding what he meant by ‘bloody Quran”. When someone is in a position of influence…. you must choose your words wisely, if we Somali’s are disagreeing among ourselves as such, what do you think the world thinks of when they here of Somali’s gone wrong. Just like the media blames Muslims for everything, doesnt mean we blame the religion.. we blame the people who were wrong even if they are Muslims, just like the prophet(saw) used to do so. Command the good and forbid the evil! Wake up and realize the division among us is getting STRONGER and WIDER!!!! Professor Ahmed, may Allah guide us all to the truth and speak of the positive with suggestions to improve on the negative… not always point out the negative and leaving it at that!!!

I would love if the prof would have chosen different wording,unless this was the case for the planed speach.Yes the somalis has lost many things through the years and somalia is now struggling for its existense as a country and people. But men of this level should anderstand that ,instead of just insulting the nation all the time ,should think little bit who are the rulers and runs most what happens in the so called third world countries-who!! I am sure the prof. knows this and never rised that thing to my people .
These hidden societies with their hidden agenda are the main culprits ,who sets division among peoples and then cotrol them,towards the creation of the world goverment.With due respect of what the prof says, we should give some head to what is going in this world and not only hasten to demoralise the already tired people of the mental and physical teror from every where including those who eliminates medical personalities and higher education institutions and then claims that they destroyed the enemy.
This world run by a group of wealthy corporations who have the grip of most leaders of the countries including US ,do not believe that Obama or the congress or any other part of the goverment have the final word how to run the countruy or world affairs – the prof knows that,and i hoped that we must first understand the main soursce of our eternal proplems and then shed a light on these areas.unity would not come by dividing the people and calling them names,but i would rather call them towards the the unity i see on the horizons .
