Video: Ethiopian Air Force Plane Crash in Mogadishu Airport

An Ethiopian air force plane crashed in Mogadishu, Somalia, on Friday, killing four crew members and injuring two others.

The plane burst into flames upon landing shortly before 8 a.m., according to a statement from the African Union Mission in Somalia.

The Somali government confirmed that the cargo plane had crashed and appointed a committee to investigate. But it said preliminary information indicated “no outside interference.”

The Shabab militants did not claim responsibility but wrote on Twitter that the crash was “a victory from Allah.” The injured crew members were being treated at a hospital run by the African Union Mission in Mogadishu.
